Bo's Update

This video shows the BMW evolve app, which helps you figure out what impact an EV would have on your daily life. At etrans, one of our focus areas in our work in our effort to create an attractive infrastructure around the electric car is what I at one point called ‘Smart Data’. Basically that just means apps, an obvious area where the EVs has a born advantage as they are all intelligent and most of them online.

Currently we have a competition in the works which this as the main aim, but we are also looking at apps to race awareness about the EVs. We have made an edutainment app for DONG Energy (for children) and also had a  concept around creating a tamagothci like app, which would act as if you had a electric car and compare it to your current driving habits. But BMW beats us with the EVolve Mobile App, which is more or less the exact same concept. And I most say that BMW are really doing some cool stuff when it comes to the future of mobility (see earlier post).
