Pierre Fauré’s Electra from 1941, one of the many electric cars which were built in France during WW II to combat the almost complete absence of petrol.

Found at mrscharroo flickr account, where he has impressive collection of old microcars that I have never seen before.

In 1967 the Ford Comuta concept vehicle was used to demonstrate the potential of the electric vehicle, with a top speed of 40mph and a total range of around 40 miles on a full charge.

I can still get amazed at the design of Dieter Rams. Here’s the Braun TP1 radio/phonograph from 1959. Have a look at it in use also.

Check out this flickr set of old cassette covers from the 80s collected by Bruce Jamieson.

What a wonderful outdoor office with all the latest baby blue gear :-)

Interesting car concept by architect and inventor Buckminster Fuller from 1933. Normann Forster is a big fan of Buckminster and recently build a copy. Check it out the car in action in this little video clip.

Check out these old beer cans that Design Assistant at Apple Lance Wilson and his mate Dan has had the chance to photograph. There’s a whole set of 163 cans, most of them have some really super tight graphic artwork. Cheers.  (by lance15100)

I thought this was a cell phone when I first saw it: the Citroën Karin. I am currently working a bit with the automobile business, as I am helping Falck (danish roadside assistance) use a design approach to develop new services, as part of the bigger Etrans project.

Another time and age, but can’t help but miss design like this. Via webexpedition18.com
