Testing out the new Tictrac app with lets you collect, track and visualize your own private data. Pretty nice interface and experience, but it’s still in closed beta, and does not yet sync with enough services to make it relevant for me. Read more in this article in Wired
Today being the World Water Day seems to be a good time to revisit The Virtual Water Project by Creative Consultant Raureif who is actually giving a talk here in Copenhagen at CIID on the 17th of april.
Disguised as a nicely illustrated infographic film on (american) consumption this Smart Car add does a nice job of raising some points on how (dumb) many of us currently live and consume, although I am a bit disappointed about the ‘solution’, ie. buying a (smaller) car.
Interesting and well animated talk by Sir Ken Robinson on the need to change or education system. I think we’re a little better here in welfare Denmark than the average american school, but still lots of food for thoughts in this. If you have 11:40 and care about how we shape the next generation.
I especially liked his point about the arts and the holistic and aesthetic experience vs. that of the anaesthetic approach of many schools.
Recently created by Colomn Five Media and posted at the usually fairly interesting Good magazine. Reminds me of the 5 year old documentary Afterlife I mentioned a while ago.
I’m on my way to Kolding to start on a 3 month project for etrans. The video here should explain the overall goal of etrans:
The aim of the project is to provide the methodological basis for the development and design work which will help the electric car become both an environmental and commercial success in Denmark.
More on my part in the project will follow as I get started.
